Don Johnson, Senior PastorDon Johnson has been the senior pastor since the Fall of 2005. Don is married to Martha Ensign Johnson, a printmaker and gardener. They have three children, Isaac, a computer engineer in St. Paul, Luke, a seminary student in Chicago, and Elizabeth, an Elementary Music Teacher at a Charter School in St. Paul that is 90% Hmong. Don is new to the West Coast and loves to explore new trails, beaches and restaurants and is trying to swim all year long weekly in the ocean. Don also has a close relationship with coffee.

Diana Trautwein has been at MCC since December of 1996, with responsibility for adult ministries, special worship planning, and pastoral care. She has been married to Richard Trautwein since 1965 and together they are the parents of 3 grown children - Lisa, Joy and Eric, the parents-in-law to Mark, Marcus and Rachel, and grandparents to 6 boys, ages 15 to 11 months. The newest addition to the tribe is their single 'grandgirl,' Gracie (10 months.) Diana is a 'mid-lifer,' having answered the call to seminary and then to pastoral ministry after her family was raised. She is constantly amazed at how much there is still to learn in the second half of life!

Sandi has attended MCC since infancy and has lived in the Santa Barbara area all of her life. At nineteen years of age, she taught her first Sunday School class and has been involved with children ever since. She attended Westmont College, graduating in 1986, and now lives in Carpinteria. She has been married to her husband Mike since 1987 and they have two children - Allison, 17 and Garrett, 13.

Lisa joined staff at MCC in June of 2007 after finishing seminary at North Park Theological Seminary in Chicago, IL. She has been a Covenant kid her whole life, as she grew up in the central valley of CA, St. Louis, and Denver. She graduated from Seattle Pacific University in 2001. She has been involved with student ministries for over ten years and she thinks she has the best job in the world. While Lisa isn't spending time with Jr. High, Sr. High or college students, you can find her on the beach, drinking a Diet Coke, and talking with her best friends around the globe.

Liam has been involved in volunteer youth ministry since 1999. Since that time he has taken the opportunity to work with 5th-12th grade students in both Santa Cruz and Santa Barbara. He is ecstatic to be involved in full time ministry with the 7th-12 graders of Montecito Covenant. Liam is a recent graduate of Westmont College. He has a twin brother, Connor, who is currently an organic farmer in Fort Collins, CO, and a younger brother, Evin, who is an assistant project manager in Santa Monica. His parents reside in Santa Cruz, CA where Liam was raised.

Barret was born in Alaska and lived there for a number of years before moving to Bermuda and more recently to Portland, OR. He is finishing up his final year at Westmont College. He's been involved with ministry the past 5 years working primarily with Jr. High and High School aged students and is excited for working with the 56 Club this year. Last summer and fall, Barret lived in Boston where he took classes at Boston University and taught 5th and 6th graders at a private middle school for low-income, inner-city students. His parents currently live in Portland, OR, and his sister is a freshmen at the University of Montana.
