Children
Welcome!
Families with children are a valued part of our community at MCC. Jesus loved kids. Following his example, we welcome all children to a safe and loving environment in which they can learn about God and his love for them. Our programs range from Sunday School to Friday night outings to extended camp experiences. Check out all the information below to find out more!
Worship Service
At Montecito Covenant Church children and families are welcome in the worship service! We firmly believe that children learn to love and worship God at a very young age and that this is modeled to them through their participation in the worship service. The pastoral staff continually works to integrate children into the worship environment. Some things you should know about our worship service are:
Nursery Care
Nursery care is offered in a bright and cheerful space for babies and toddlers up to age 3 during all Sunday programs and weekday special events. Loving childcare is provided by trained staff as well as Bible stories, activities and snack.
Sunday School
Every Sunday during the school year from 9:30-10:30 we have classes for all children from birth to 6th grade. We are using Group's Faithweaver curriculum that helps children learn how to weave faith into their lives by applying Bible truths. Children are encouraged to bring their Bibles for this fun and interactive time led by committed, loving teachers. Come join the fun!
Noah's Park
Every Sunday after Story At The Steps children ages 4 years to 6th grade are invited to Noah's Park. During this time a team of teachers and assistants lead the group with games, Bible stories, memory verses, singing and crafts. Noah's Park begins and ends in the Children's Center.

The pastoral staff continually works to integrate children into the worship environment. Some things you should know about our worship service are:
- All children are invited down to the Story At The Steps which is led by Pastor Don Johnson or one of the other ministerial staff.
- There is a room available in the back of the sanctuary for anyone who needs a quiet, private space that has visual and audio access to the worship service.
- The first Sunday of every month is communion Sunday. Parents are welcome to come get their children from Noah's Park (Children's Church) if they would like them to participate in communion.
- Children's worship bulletins are available from the ushers as you walk into the sanctuary. The activities on these sheets are based on the scripture used throughout the worship service and in the sermon.

Christmas in the Fieldhouse

This is an annual Christmas pageant involving children and choirs. It's another way we seek to reach out to children and their families and share with them God's love. After the performance join us for Christmas crafts and cookies.
