The Story We Find Ourselves In: Exploring the Meaning and Call of Scripture
We all love a good story. Whether curled up on the couch with a book, joining others at the theatre to watch a play or a movie, or sitting with a friend to recount the relationships and experiences that are our lives. Stories ground, guide, and inspire us.
The staggering claim of Christianity is that the best and most lasting story is not a story that starts and ends with us, but with God. It is a story about God’s faithful presence to the world he has made, knows, and loves. It is a story we receive and to which we belong.
People often say that they can “get lost” in a good story. The promise of scripture and the invitation of Jesus is consistently that that we might instead “get found” in God’s good story, for while the end is secure, we each have been designed to play a unique role in it’s unfolding for God’s glory and our great joy.

We gather every Sunday to connect with one another and to encounter God through worship, teaching and prayer.
Sundays are the best place to meet us and see who we are. Join us on Sundays at 10 am. All are welcome, and we would love to see you.
Join a life group
Life Groups are one of the primary ways we grow in relationship with God and build deep friendships with one another. We meet at church or in homes for community, prayer, and to study scripture. You’re invited to join a group and get connected.
Jesus gave everything for us, and it’s our joy to give back to him in support of the work he is doing here in Santa Barbara and around the world. Contributing financially to the work of the church is an expression of worship in response to all that God has done in our midst.
We are called to love God and people, grow in faith, share Jesus with others and serve our world.
