IGNITE Summer Camp – Registration FAQ

How are campers grouped?

Each camper is placed in a grade-specific “huddle group,” which becomes their home base for the week.  Huddle groups are formed by grade level based on the grade they will enter in the fall. Groupings are:

• Kindergarten–TK

• 1st–2nd grade

• 3rd–4th grade

• 5th–6th grade

What should my camper expect each day?

Each morning:

• Campers check in with their huddle group

• Groups head together into the sanctuary for an energetic opening session with music and fun

• Huddle groups then rotate through a variety of activities, including basketball, volleyball, arts & crafts, and more

A healthy snack is served partway through the morning, and campers remain with their huddle group and leaders throughout the day.

What should my camper wear or bring?

• Campers will receive an IGNITE camp T-shirt at check-in on the first day and are encouraged to wear it each day

• Campers may bring a water bottle labeled with their name (water is also readily available throughout camp)

• Please dress campers in comfortable clothes and shoes suitable for active play

How can I get involved?

We are always excited to welcome new volunteers!

• Adult Volunteers – help lead activities and care for campers

• Student Volunteers (Teen Leaders) – grow leadership skills while supporting our adult staff.  Student volunteers are also eligible to claim their work as community service hours.

As a thank-you, volunteers receive one complimentary child registration, along with an awesome staff T-shirt and a great community experience.

To apply, use the camp registration form and select:

• VOLUNTEER (Adult) or

• VOLUNTEER (Student Leader)

NOTE: Registering as a volunteer is just the first step in the volunteer application process.  Once your registration is received, we will reach out to you with next steps.  Volunteering at the church is conditional upon the satisfactory completion of the church's screening process.

Can I pay with cash or check?

Yes. Select “Pay in person (cash or check)” at checkout and bring payment on the first day of camp.

Is financial assistance available?

Yes. We want every child to have the chance to participate.
